Paris, France – March 11, 2024 – DOTSCREEN, the multi-screen video applications and UX/UI specialist, today announced the renewal of its multi-year contract with Media Broadcast for the evolution, support, and maintenance of the “Freenet TV” HbbTV portal in Germany.
DOTSCREEN is the original designer and developer of the HbbTV front-end and associated back-end of the “Freenet TV” portal. Since 2016, the company has continuously maintained and enhanced the HbbTV solution. Today, DOTSCREEN and Media Broadcast jointly decided to renew the relationship for another two years.
The “Freenet TV” portal by Media Broadcast is accessible by all “Connected” users and offers an opportunity to take advantage of features such as:
- HbbTV applications from major German providers such as ARD, Kabel Eins, MDR, ZDF, SAT1, RTL, VOX, ProSieben, Kabel 1, QVC, SIXX, NDR, SWR and more
- Text and video-based news articles
- Sports newsfeeds
- National and local German radio stations
- Real time weather forecasts
