Paris-based UI specialist Dotscreen was at IBC2025 to unveil four new industry partnerships, strengthening its position in the video streaming app market.
Speaking to Broadband TV News editor Julian Clover, Vincent Gattone, VP Business Development, said the company continues to focus on the “best of breed” approach for front-end development across connected devices, from smart TVs to set-top boxes.
Among the new announcements is a collaboration with Nagra, integrating its OpenTV backend into Dotscreen’s off-the-shelf Android TV UIs.
Dotscreen has also partnered with Zattoo, bringing its CMS into Roku apps to expand reach in German-speaking markets.
The company has deepened its ties with Synamedia, extending integration of Synamedia Go beyond smart TVs and Android TV to Senza streaming devices, while also enabling Synamedia’s Experience Manager to dynamically adjust UI elements.
Finally, Dotscreen has joined forces with Bitmovin, supporting projects on niche and legacy devices, including deployments for operators SFR, Orange and Bouygues in France.
Gattone said the strategy reflects Dotscreen’s belief that “no single company can do everything well,” stressing the importance of partnerships to deliver a full ecosystem to clients.
He added that operators are increasingly looking to evolve their user interfaces. “We believe in TV evolution, not revolution,” he said. “You don’t want to change everything overnight and alienate half your client base. It’s about subtle refreshes that keep users engaged.”
