Yesterday, DOTSCREEN’s CEO Pascal-Hippolyte BESSON was invited to the Tour Megatec 2019, in Guadalajara, Mexico, to speak about User Experience for Next Generation TV.
During his presentation, DOTSCREEEN’s CEO talked about his views on UX within the Video industry, specifically applied to TV and the TV-watching experience, and explained how to succeed for broadcasters and VOD providers, and respond in the best way to today and tomorrow’s expectations in TV UX.
Amongst may points, Pascal-Hippolyte insisted on the crucial need to provide an experience that should be both ensuring the easiest & simplest access to content possible, and full coherence with legacy behaviours in a user’s TV watching habits at the same time.
He explained how the question “What’s on TV tonight?” should be the first answer given to a user landing on a TV portal today, but should also be made permanently consistent with every single tab and feature the same user has been used to feel in control of in his last years of experience.
