Zattoo launches enhanced Media Integration Platform at IBC
by Jörn Krieger – Broadbandtv News

Zattoo is expanding its offering for TV operators and entertainment providers, making frontend options available for its Media Integration Platform (MIP) with a series of new partners.

The initiative builds on Zattoo’s recent acquisition of Green Streams, which brought the MIP into the portfolio. While Zattoo continues to offer its established end-to-end TV product, the MIP embodies a more modular strategy that enables operators to combine Zattoo’s technology more flexibly with existing infrastructure.

The MIP is a SaaS product that manages all aspects of a TV and entertainment service in one place. It covers product and business logic, pricing and upselling, content management, discovery, personalisation, user experience, plus live monitoring and analytics. The platform is designed for easy integration with existing operator modules such as video backends, Content Delivery Networks (CDN), or systems for Operational/Business Service Support (OSS/BSS). This makes it a strong option for operators who want to increase efficiency or launch new OTT services on top of their current setups, according to Zattoo.

In collaboration with three partners – Appolica (Bulgaria), Dotscreen (France), and Logituit (India) – Zattoo is making new frontend options available for the MIP. These can be delivered as fully functional, customisable, and brandable applications. Alternatively, operators or their agencies can use a Software Development Kit (SDK) to build apps, with the MIP as the central management component in both cases.

Appolica has delivered TV applications for operators including Bulsatcom and AT&T. Dotscreen has worked with major players such as Vodafone and TF1, offering framework-free bespoke and customisable off-the-shelf video streaming applications. Logituit has expertise in developing and optimising streaming solutions, building AI-powered accelerators and solutions for global media companies such as Amazon and Mediacorp that help in enhancing digital user experience and increasing operational efficiency.

“The optimised Media Integration Platform is an important next step in Zattoo’s strategy. With the MIP at the core, and a strong ecosystem of partners around frontends as a key optional component, we give operators maximum flexibility to work with Zattoo in the way that best suits their business. Whether through our end-to-end product or modular, operators can achieve their goals more efficiently with it, launch new services faster, and create compelling user experiences that drive long-term growth,” said Roger Elsener, CEO of Zattoo.

The new Media Integration Platform product will be showcased live from 12-15 September at IBC 2025 in Amsterdam at hall 5, booth G55.
